Baked Apple Fritters 2

While Mr. O’s first attempt at Baked Apple Cinnamon Fritters! was delicious, they didn’t quite scratch the pastry itch. So Dad found this Baked Vegan Apple Fritters recipe and they gave it a try. Oh my goodness, they were SO good! Another great use for our local apples. How lucky are we to live in a place surrounded by orchards?!

grating nutmeg
Grating nutmeg fresh gives a really wonderful flavour.

testing the apples
It’s important to taste as you go along.
cracking eggs
We aren’t vegan and didn’t have aquafaba on hand, so Dad replaced the aquafaba (chickpea cooking liquid makes a great egg white substitute) in the recipe with two egg whites.
mixing
Mr. O mixing the dry ingredients.
yummy fritters
Glazing the fritters after baking makes them extra special! We loved these fritters!
